Our main character inadvertently journeys throughout the water cycle in all its states, from the macro to the micro, plunging through a number of imaginative watery portals. Found paper imagery leads this autonomous narrative reframing how we visualize the world, and its most precious resource, water.

Monique Motut-Firth
Using paper cutouts to explore pop culture, Canadian artist Monique Motut-Firth recombines familiar images into playful compositions and stop-motion animations. She has gained international recognition for her animation shorts and has been awarded a number of Canada Council for the Arts grants. Monique holds an MFA and BFA from Emily Carr University of Art + Design. She currently teaches drawing and painting at Kwantlen Polytechnic University and Emily Carr in Vancouver Canada.

Mitchell Keys is a multi-disciplinary artist practicing in the realms of illustration, animation, drawing, and collage. Though he explores a variety of mediums and styles, the themes of his work consistently center around the joy, hope, and optimism found in the natural world.

Astrid Rothaug
Astrid Rothaug is an artist and filmmaker from Vienna, Austria. Studied Drawing and Printmaking at the University of Applied Arts (diploma 2024, Prof. Jan Svenungsson) and 3D animation and production at the PixlVisn Media Arts Academy (Philipp Willer, Andres Bonelli, Jessica Gens, Tom Pinon). Her independent short films, commissioned works, and music videos travelled to more than 100 national and international festivals, won several awards and have been presented on national and international TV such as ARTE or ORF.
Currently working on the screenplay of an animated feature film for young audiences and family.
