The traditional crafts of crochet and knitting have become one of the hottest movements in modern art. The film follows a few International artists and knitters as they bring yarn to the streets and into our lives in new ways. Starting in Iceland, this quirky and thought-provoking film takes us on a colourful and global journey as we discover how yarn connects us all.

Una Lorenzen is an Icelandic filmmaker living in Montreal, Canada. She received her MFA in experimental animation at California Institute of the Arts. Her films have traveled widely to festivals and museums including SXSW, New York City’ s New Museum (Nordic Outbreak 2013), Nordisk Panorama, Kro Art Gallery Vienna, Papaya Gyro Nights Hong Kong, Unsound music festival Poland and Artforum online.
Sue has a long history as a dedicated textile creator and innovator using a variety of approaches to create her works. Often employing an element of humour or irony, these works touch viewers and explore immense diversity of the medium.
